On December 6th Eastdale CI students and staff remembered the mass violent murder of 14 young women at Ecole Polytechnique. Students created videos that were shown at our assembly that helped everyone to reflect on the importance of how to stop violence against women. Several peace circles were facilitated in afternoon classes by Peacebuilders that helped to continue the conversations around awareness of the ongoing social issue of gender-based violence and misogyny. A special thanks to Ms. Greenglass, Mr. Perry and Ms. Belisle for their work with students, the facilitation of the assembly and peace circles on this very important issue.
